10 trends - notes

 These are the trends I [uri baruchin] noted to myself during our "10 trends for the net" session (moderated by Dror F.) on Saturday. I noted that unlike the wild days of the net people tended to be quite conservative in the trends they suggested, and when you look at the list it seems surprisingly tame. However - some "bland" titles here hide the potential for truly earth shattering trends.

    1. As alternative to newsletters and as the update medium of choice.

    1. Penetration of net in 3rd world
    2. 25% of net in English
    3. More Chinese online then Americans
  6. Decline of on-line communities (?)  / Rise of SMS
    1. Rebirth of communities on mobile devices

    1. Location based blogs - where were you (cellular) and what did you do.
    2. Multiple player games on the road

    5. Internet becoming part of life - the net trend for dentists should be a dentist trend and not a net trend
